I am very happy to be joining Dr. Peters and Jeanne at the Nourishing Wellness Medical Center in Redondo Beach, CA. to help you achieve your highest health potential. My business name is Shen Ming Wellness
My Philosophy
I am a Licensed acupuncturist specializing in healthy aging and longevity. I believe that wellness is a lifestyle for all ages from children to teens and adults. True to the principles of Chinese Medicine, I believe that ultimate health and well-being involve the totality of the human being – physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
About my Background
I graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. After having a streccessful (stress + success) career in the financial markets trading bonds, I encountered a serious health problem that led me to Chinese medicine. Through an integration of conventional and Chinese medicine, I survived the crisis and regained my health and vitality. This experience inspired me to investigate the wisdom of this ancient medicine. As a graduate of Yo San University, I have used this incredible medicine working with HIV patients, teens with substance abuse, and internal medicine patients. Currently, I am working on my doctorate in anti-aging and longevity at Yo San. I am especially interested in uncovering the mental/emotional components of health and their influence on the nervous, immune, and endocrine systems. This year I will be conducting my doctoral research in collaboration with the department of neuroscience at UCLA. This research will focus on the link between Chinese medicine and stress, sleep, and systemic inflammation –a major player in chronic diseases.
How I can help you . . . .
As a doctor of Chinese medicine, I see many patients who earnestly work to improve their health. They feel they are doing everything right (nutrition, supplements, exercise, etc.) only to find that the mental/emotional component is preventing them from attaining their health goals. They feel stressed, distracted, frustrated, and even discouraged by their lack of inspiration and joy. Chinese medicine addresses these energetic dysfunctions by re-balancing the body’s yin and yang. It clears blockages and strengthens the energetic connection between the body, mind and spirit. It soothes and quiets the overstressed mind so that the body’s innate intelligence (via the nervous, endocrine, and immune systems) can rejuvenate and heal itself. And what’s more, there are no negative side effects! If you would like better mental focus and clarity, emotional stability and confidence, and a renewed sense of full body well-being, then Chinese medicine may be very helpful to you. If you would still like to use your supplements and remedies from sites like mushroomz.co alongside this treatment, then please talk to a health professional first, just so nothing counteracts with each other.
