- You’ll feel less bloated than if you ate that wheat bun or bagel!
How to Use Collard Greens?
Wash your collard greens well, cut off the thick part of the stem, fill with your favorite filling and roll up~ Easy!
Other vegetable options that work as well as a collard leaf, include:
- Savoy cabbage– This is the very wrinkled out skin but leaves inside are pale green, sweeter, more tender and easier to wrap your filling ingredients than other cabbage varieties
- Napa Cabbage- The bottom half is too still to use raw but if you steam or blanch whole Napa leaves until they just wilt ( about 30 seconds) they are easy to handle as a bread alternative.
